Thomas 3D Cake ordered by Pn. Fiza of Bkt Antarabangsa

It was a Thomas 3D Cake marathon weekend. I almost immediately started with Fiza's order after delivering Sue Ann's cake. Fiza ordered this Thomas 3D cake to surprise her elder son Hadif, a big fan of Thomas, who had just turned 5. The cake was especially ordered for his birthday celebration at his kindie on Monday. Fiza came on Sunday evening as promised to pickup the cake. I hope Hadif had an unforgettable birthday celebration, wish I could see his face when he saw the cake! :D

Thomas 3D Cake ordered by Mrs Sue Ann of PJ

Had the utmost pleasure of doing business with Sue Ann. She's such a lovely softspoken young mom of two. She ordered this Thomas cake for her younger son Wayne's 2nd birthday party. As per my previous Thomas 3D cakes, the cake is choc moist cake (although it can be done with any flavoured butter cakes, everybody seem to prefer choc moist), decorated with buttercream icing with the custom handmade fondant face.

Sue Ann wasn't fussy at all, the deal was closed in no time. We met at the promised pickup point, a landmark near my house. 2 days later I received  text message from Sue Ann, which made me euphorically happy that said,"Hi GG, the Thomas cake was a great hit. Passed on your contact. :) Sue Ann". Thanks for the order Sue Ann, it was really lovely to meet your mom and you.

3D Thomas the Tank Engine with Tender Birthday Cake for Mrs Wong of PJ

This was a scaled down version from my regular Thomas 3D cake. Chai Ping encountered this blog and called about one month ago to order this custom Thomas cake with a tender (coach) for her 2 year old son Wei Wen's birthday celebration. Wei Wen is such a lucky little guy! His lovely and sporting mom, Chai Ping called several times to confirm the design etc. Seemed like she's planning a fab surprise party for her little boy. I later got a feedback from Chai Ping that the cake was a smash hit, which really made me happy.

Chai Ping, thank you for your order. It was a pleasure to meet you. It was equally fun for me to do this cake, although my son, Imran the avid Thomas fan kept insisting,"Thomas tak ada "barang"lah, Mama... Mama kena buat Edward!". Hahahaha... It was a new experience, I love the extra challenge once in a while. Happy Birthday little Wei Wen, hope you'll grow up to be like Thomas the Useful Engine!

3D Thomas the Tank Engine Birthday Cake for Pn Fisya of Subang

Another Thomas 3D Cake for another birthday boy named ADAM. This is fast becoming a favourite cake design in the recent months. Fisya called me one night to order this Thomas 3D cake for her adorable son, Adam, who was turning 2 in the coming week. Fisya requested that Thomas's body number 1 to be changed to number 2, to commemorate Adam turning 2 years old.

Son Imran couldn't resist posing with the cake. He is a BIG fan of Thomas the Tank Engine. :)

Son Imran's 3D Thomas the Tank Engine Birthday Cake

This cake was Imran's dream come true. Imran is an avid Thomas fan. He loves everything Thomas! A few weeks before his party, my husband suggested that I make Imran a Thomas 3D cake, he even did some research online and suggested some useful websites on how to make a Thomas cake. I borrowed a Thomas toy from Imran's collection as the model (the cake was the actual size of the toy) for my project and used 4 layers of dark choc orange cake. I've always loved the combination of chocolate and orange. The face was made out of gumpaste a few days earlier, was really proud of it, a split image of Thomas, don't you think?

As I was busy shaping the cake into Thomas, imran came into the kitchen and exclaimed,"Aiii? Mama buat Emiyiii (Emily)?". Emily was a blackish engine. LOLs! He thought I was making Emily because the chocolate cake was not yet covered with icing then. When I finally finished the cake, Imran excitedly asked for a knife, he wanted to immediately cut it! Haiiyak!

The party went well, the kids went crazy over the cake (the adult cringed at the amount of icing on it!), one of Imran's schoolmate (who's also a Thomas fan) was speechless when he saw the cake, he was so cute! Imran was the happiest boy that day indeed. Thank you to all the guests who came and made him feel special.
