Dino Novelty (Buttercream and Figurine) Birthday Cake for Mdm Janet Ng

Aunty Janet custom ordered this novelty birthday cake with dinosaur figurine for her little nephew who loves the prehistoric creatures. The cake is orange butter cake, frosted with buttercream and topped with gumpaste dino figurine. Credit for dino figurine goes to my apprentice for the day, sis Elin.

Mickey and Minnie Buttercream Birthday Cake for Pn Fiza of HKL.

Made a special delivery to Pediatric Unit in HKL, Mickey and Minnie birthday cake ordered by Fiza. Fiza is the wife of my ex-coursemate Khairul Anuar back in ITM. It's her birthday today and she plans to celebrate it at work with the children under her care. It really touched my heart. I hope the cake will help the children forget their sickness and woes, even if just for little moment. Bravo to Fiza for having such a noble heart!

Princess Carriage Birthday Cake for Pn Hasnah of Shah Alam

 

This is one of my favourite cake design, the carriage cake. This was ordered by Pn Hasnah of Shah Alam for her 4 year old princess, Aina. It was a chocolate butter cake with buttercream icing and edible image decor. I was delighted to be told that everyone especially the birthday girl loved this cake. It was a treat for me too, getting to make this wonderful cake!

Fresh Fruits Cake for Pn Shahariah

Colleague Sha, ordered this celebration cake to surprise her hubby at his office on his recent promotion. Alhamdulillah! Light vanilla sponge layered with cream and pineapples, topped with more cream and strawberries and sweet cherries. Received raving reviews for this cake. Thanks Sha, for this order.

After Hari Raya Arrangements

Dear Valued Customers,

I've been keeping this to myself for a few weeks now as I am still hoping for a miracle. I can't keep mum on this matter any longer, as I don't want you to think that I intentionally decline your orders in the future, after Hari Raya Puasa onwards that is. My precious Superbibik has decided to resign after 4 years with us. Her last day will be on the 4th day of Hari Raya. She has some family issues to sort out and whether or not she will be coming back, remain undecided.

Therefore to avoid any future aggravation, I regretfully wish to announce here that I will only take on select orders until I get Bibik's replacement. This will commence right after Raya Puasa holidays. I hope that you will understand and continue to support GG Home Biz. Do feel free to check with me if I am available to meet your orders. Liverpool Soccer Ball Fondant Hantaran Nikah Cake for Ms Idarita

Idarita is one of my customers who quickly became my friend. Coincidently, our daughters are good friends in sekolah agama. We only came to know when one day Ida came with her daughter Dina to pickup her dad's cake. And what a small world too that she knew a good friend of mine from STTJ Seremban days and I knew her ex school friend from BBGS.

That was how our friendship began. Ida has since became a patron of GG Home Biz. She ordered this Liverpool 3D Soccer Ball cake for her wedding hantaran. This would be from her side to the groom. Her husband is  great fan of Liverpool's, hence the ball cake. The cake was almond butter cake, layered with orange butter cake with buttercream filling and fondant decor plus (Liverpool logo) edible image.

I made this cake on the day of Malaysia XI vs Chelsea match. I was in the football spirit, jumping up and down cheering for of course our Malayan Tigers while cutting and pasting fondants, therefore made the experience of making this cake a very memorable one.

Lovebirds and Cornelli Lace Fondant Hantaran Nikah Cake for Ms Idarita

 

While the ball cake was meant for the groom, this hantaran cake was meant for the bride (Ida). This lovely cornelli lace design was custom ordered by Ida. I had great fun making it, it was a new experience for me as I had never done cornelli lace before. It was wonderful to know that both Ida and Rizal loved their cakes. hank you Ida for engaging my services for this special occasion. Selamat Pengantin Baru, semoga bahagia ke pintu syurga!

Childhood friend Shida called on Wednesday to enquire bout birthday cakes for her children. After much discussion, she agreed on orange butter cake with buttercream icing. She wants the cake to be a simple one. I just adore making children's cake, animals, rainbows, bright flowers all came into mind. This time round I wanted to incorporate teddy faces into the cake design. Thought they would look cute on kids cake.
At first, I thought of putting only 2 teddies on the cake, but it looked too bare. So I added 2 more and wrote the names and birthday wish in a wave form in between the teddies. Finally I added lemon yellow borders on the top and bottom borders for a touch of colour. And voila! A simple but very cute teddy birthday cake for Along and Mira. I think I am going through a phase... I'm "over" fancy and intricate designs, now into simple designs, unless my customers order otherwise. This has become one of my favourite design - "Less is More", I will definitely use more of this type of design on my cakes (or cupcakes) in the future. What do you think?

New Product! Cheese Tarts (Blueberry and Strawberry).

New product at GG Home Biz. Silky and creamy cheese custard in crispy shells. Blueberry or Strawberry Cheesetarts, RM0.80 per piece. Minimum order 50 pcs. Ideal for buah tangan, kenduri and parties. 

One week notice is required to order these as they are made by my sister Azlein in USJ, Subang. The tarts will be made fresh and delivered to my house in AU5, Lembah Keramat on the day of collection. For customers who stay in Subang, Kelana Jaya, Puchong and Shah Alam areas, you may collect the tarts from Azlein's house in Subang.

These are ordered by Ms Gda of Ukay Perdana. Gda ordered 50 pcs of these gorgeous tarts just for makan-makan.

Sweetpea Buttercream Birthday Cake ordered by Pn Zaiton

Zaiton is a friend of my sister Ain, naturally her friends are usually my friends. I knew Zaiton way back from primary school days where we all went.

Zaiton's eldest girl is turning 13 this week, still can't believe that she has a teenage daughter. Time does fly... Well anyway, at first she ordered a fairy themed cake for Dania. But she rang back to change the design to this Sweetpea buttercream cake, as Dania wants a more "mature" cake - NO kiddie designs, mom! Hahaha...

The cake is dark chocolate cake, decorated with buttercream. This cake is twice the size of my previous Sweetpea cake, approximately 2.5kg. Zaiton requested to add more flowers on the side to make it look fuller.
